Original Carrollwood vs. Carrollwood Village—what's the difference?

Original Carrollwood (east) has larger lots, older homes, and a more established feel. Carrollwood Village (west) has more HOA communities and slightly newer construction. Both have great schools.

How does it compare to South Tampa for families?

Similar school quality at lower prices, but less walkable and further from downtown. You get more house and yard for your money in Carrollwood. It's suburban vs. urban-suburban.

Any concerns I should know about?

Some areas have older homes that may need updates (roof, HVAC, plumbing). Traffic on Dale Mabry is brutal. Otherwise, it's one of Tampa's safest, most stable neighborhoods.
